The Lebanese system doesn’t allow us to choose our president. Only members of parliament can do that for us.
These members of parliament always do what they’re told. Not by us, who elected them, but by everybody else: local lords and leaders, foreign embassies, regional powers, international powers, everybody else but us.
A new president is about to be elected in the next couple of month.
Are we going to let it happen as it always does?
Or are we going to say loud and clear who we choose and why? And send a strong message to everyone who wants to disregard us once again.
http://www.president-2014.com gives us the opportunity to vote for our next president. So the members of parliament can know who we want and why, and understand that if they ignore us this time around, they’ll never have our vote again.
It’s up to us. Let’s vote.
