When you’re in a bad mood, there’s always someone to cheer you up. This morning, I felt a tad grumpy, then a friend – bless her – sent me pictures of this road sign close to the border with “occupied Palestine”, or shall I write: occupied PALASTAIN.
We owe this surreal and unforgivable spelling mistake to the “Municipalities Union of the Tyr District” (Qadaa Sour), as the sign proudly says. So whoever these people are, I have a small question: how can anyone ever pretend to free Palestine if they don’t even know how to write it?
