Fistfight in Lebanese Parliament

A fight broke out this morning between MPs from the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) and the Future movement (Al-Moustaqbal) during Parliament’s Energy Committee meeting, each side accusing the other of corruption and theft.

Ironically, several MPs present haven’t paid their electricity bills for ages, some for over 10 years…

Lebanon has been suffering from severe electricity shortages while politicians unpaid bills amount to almost 800.000 dollars.

And while they are discussing about the $800,000 and what to do about them, 320,000 TONS of SHIT have accumulated in Lebanon from the 17th of July 2015 till today. Meesrs. Deputies and ministers, drasw up your sleeves and go down to Beirut streets to collect that street, sort it, and transport it to the recyclers and the composters. This would be a least a USEFUL JOB.
